A China trip built around your dates
Email us or message us on WhatsApp with your dates, and we will send a day-by-day itinerary with named hotels and a price for those dates, within one working day. Free, and no obligation to book.
How it works
Four steps, in order, from your first message to a confirmed booking.
- 1. Tell us about the trip. Send your dates, party size, budget and anything you already want to see. It takes about five minutes.
- 2. We send a plan. Within one working day you get a day-by-day itinerary with named hotels, the transport between cities and a price.
- 3. We revise it. Change the dates, swap a city, add a rest day or trim the budget. Revisions are free, with no limit on the number of rounds.
- 4. You confirm with a deposit. A 20% deposit holds your places, hotels and guides. The balance is due 60 days before departure.
What we can organise
Almost any shape of trip is possible. The things people ask for most:
- Private trips for two, small groups of four to ten, and trips with three generations travelling together.
- Your own pace — two sights a day, or none on the days you would rather wander.
- Dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, halal and coeliac; we brief every restaurant in advance.
- Step-free routes and private vehicles for guests with limited mobility, where the city allows it.
- Trips built around children, with shorter days and the pandas; or around grandparents, with fewer stairs.
- Special interests: food, photography, tea, ceramics, the Silk Road and rail.
What it costs
We charge no design fee. You pay for the trip you agree, not for the planning.
A 20% deposit confirms the booking, and the balance is due 60 days before departure. Prices are per person and land only: international flights from the UK are not included, but we will tell you which routes and dates work best for your budget.
What we are honest about
There are trips we will talk you out of. A ten-day itinerary that tries to cover five far-apart cities is mostly spent in transit; we would rather suggest four. Around the first week of October and Chinese New Year, trains and hotels sell out and prices rise, so we may steer you to another week.
We are also clear that we are not the cheapest option. If the lowest possible price is what matters, a fixed coach tour will beat us. What we offer instead is a plan built for you, and someone to call when a train is delayed.
